Description
The Hubbell all-weather 4 grounded outdoor outlet strip together with GFCI, photocell, and a 6-position timer is an perfect outlet strip for outdoor power equipment, RVs/boats, as well as landscape lighting. The strip in addition works excellent all-around wet locations like ponds and water gardens, and consists of a hinged weather cover. Complete together with a photocell dusk to dawn switch and a 2, 4, or 6-hour timer, the strip in addition consists of a weatherproof cover and meets the NEMA 3R rating for wet locations. Four heavy-duty outlets offer 1800 watts of service on a 15 Amp resettable circuit. The strip mounts effortlessly to a home, garage, or deck. The strip is backed by a 1-year limited warranty.

Update: Coming up on 1 year after rebuilding it with a GFCI outlet and a standard outlet; unit is still operating as redesigned and I just placed the koi pond back into 'service' for the Spring/Summer/Fall.

Sun causes the plastic to distort. Install in the shade and it may last longer. The distortion causes the outlets to be flakey; wiggling the plugs around allows them to make contact, but may stop working when the sun comes or goes. So far it hasn't had water leak into it, despite the warping.

Since there isn't anything else comparable, I'm gutting my year-old unit. I tested the two switches, photocell and circuitry, and it is all properly functioning. So the problems appear to be just with the poor outlet electrical contact design. I'm removing the GFCI/outlet guts, and I'll cut the housing to allow insertion of a GFCI outlet and a standard outlet. This should correct the problems, and if I provide shade the unit should last.

Hmmmmmm! A lot of unhappy people. Mine still works more than a year later. But I never used the timer. I bought it because it had all the features and configuration I wanted for my pond pump and accessories. The timer was a useless feature I had to accept to get the other features. The build quality seems OK and the installation was exactly what I wanted. But if you really need the timer you had better read all the other reviews.

The product apparently breaks often, but it is the only choice out there for use in wet locations, as I use for my swimming pool.

Great design serves most outdoor lighting/fountain needs. Key is ease of replacement of existing outdoor outlet box or adaptability to new installation. Mounting bracket, connection bay, and sensor timing options are the best I've found. Most importantly, installation was so easy I had no excuse to ignore other projects on the list.

Like the other reviews, product works great for about one season then it breaks. A real drag since this seems to be the only one like this on the market.
