Amazon's brief description of this lamp is correct. Lamps Plus is not. As I found it, this lamp had a dimmer feature at one time. It no longer does. I called Lamps Plus customer service and was given the "apology" speech and told me they were in the process of updating their website specs. I was offered a dimmer switch at a discounted price. I ended up getting it for free. Now about this lamp. It is very heavy and nice and classy to look at. The quality of the mission style lamp shows as I proudly display it in my home. The lowest lamp height measures 45.5 inches from the base to base of lamp glass. Uses four 60 watt bulbs (not included) which are too bright at times. A dimmer is a must for me. Paid $199.00 during the January sale. I would have given 5 stars if it came with a dimmer feature.
