It is a tad smaller than what I was expecting - BUT - it worked out good in the end. I needed something for my very small laptop desk (a ladder style desk), something I could maneuver to spotlight my keyboard or mousing area. This is excellent. Battery operated, very bright LED's, and portable. AND it is a nice nickel finish, so it exactly matches my printer, mouse, monitor stand and even my paper trays (okay so I am a nut when it comes to everything matching!). I recommend this light!

The lamp packaging was open when I received it and the lamp had many scratches all over. Although I wasn't expecting much for the price, I did expect to receive a new product, which this did not appear to be.

This is really super bright if you want brightness. Mostly plastic. The base is light that it can easily tip over. Requires 3 AAAs. If you intend to use it as a table booklight, the light is extremely bright and has a harsh hotspot. We use it mostly as a flashlight alternative. Ours broke between the base and the neck. We glued it with Gorilla glue and still works (3 years now). .

This lamp is useless. Goes through 3 AAA batteries quickly. Good News: It does stand up .... unless you move the neck to the side.
